To date I have worked using fiber materials with which I am familiar, but I feel that there are still many commonplace everyday items where people recognize the item itself but are not consciously aware of it.

At a glance, my works may appear to be produced with special materials, but the more familiar the materials are in daily life, the greater the fresh surprise and interest in the materials when encountering the materials in a form that is detached from typical recognition.

​「素材からうまれる文様  -限られた世界の 果てのない営み-」

これまで身近な繊維素材を用いて制作をしてきたが、日常にありふれたものであっても「そのものの認識はしているが意識はされていない」ものが多いのではないかと思う。

私の作品は一見、特殊な素材で作られているようであるが、それが日常において見慣れたものであればあるほど、その認識から解放された形に出合った時、新鮮な驚きと共にそのものへの関心につながるのではないかと考えている。
