There were two challenges in creating the pattern. The first was, "When can we see the pattern?" Once an hour? Once a day? Or once a year, like at carnival? This time, I set the time to 11:35, which is my favorite time in another work. In this work, the 'pattern' only appears once, either at 11:35 in the morning or 11:35 at night.

The other is, "How do I adjust the pattern?" They have 'own time'. That means: Japan time, Germany, Melbourne, Porto, the Atacama Desert... it's like World Time.​ I adjusted them to come across as inevitably, but the 'pattern' can only be maintained for 10 seconds. This 30-second video shows the hands of each clocks creating the pattern, then gradually losing its shape and returning to their own time.

​パターンの制作には2つの課題があった。1つは「パターンはいつ見られるのか？」ということだ。1時間に1回、もしくは1日に1回、あるいはカーニバルのごとく年に1度？
今回はその時間をもう1つの作品で私の"お気に入りのパターン"の時間、11:35に設定した。この作品の場合、それは朝もしくは夜の11:35、どちらか1回だけとなる。

もう1つは「どうやってパターンを作り出すか？」彼らは"それぞれの時間"を持っている。それはつまり、日本時間、ドイツ、メルボルン、ポルト、アタカマ砂漠‥ さながら世界時間のようで、それらが必然で出合うよう調整したが、この'パターン'が維持できるのはわずか10秒程度である。

この30秒間の動画では、パターンとなった瞬間から既に次の時刻へと動き出し、徐々にその形が崩れ、再び時間となって時を刻んでいく様子が見られる。
